“Rollie” Wilson retired to California City in 1998. He started painting professionally several years prior to the move. His hobbies, including photography, hunting waterfowl and fishing, lead to his interest in capturing some of his experiences with the outdoors on canvases with oils. He attended Santa Rosa Junior College studying all types if art and discovered a great attraction to painting with oil paints on canvas and boards. His paintings of the Northern California wetlands with waterfowl play a big part in the memories of his life.
