My Small World of Ceramics

A creation of art in a small world where there are so many faces, fixtures and surprises. My world of ceramics started at Antelope Valley College in the year of 2002.  I needed something to relieve my stress and that day arrived in the year 2002.

For many years I travelled to many parts of the world and met people of all cultures and from my hands I started to create my world of art.  I never knew what I would make – I just started molding the clay on the wheel and hand building.  After finishing there, then came the paint, brushes, cutting, tools, pots and pans, etc. to hold the shape.

Each step I took created a new design, never the same, and I suppose it was made to be whatever you saw - that is what it is.  This world is designed to be left to your imagination (WOW).

I took about four years of art classes at A.V. College under Rich Sim, whom I adore and admire. Rich Sim stated that I throw like an artist that he knew back in the day and that my colors were unusual like another artist that he read about.

I love ceramics and the joy it brings to me.  I never knew I could do this but give thanks to good people like Rich Sim, Cedar Center Art Gallery, Lakes and Valley Art Association, California City Art Commission and others, who have given me the opportunity to be part of their world!
