Cecile was born in New York and grew up in Newport, Rhode Island. She moved to the Antelope Valley in 1972 where she resided for 27 years raising a family and working in the medical and aerospace field. After retiring, she moved to California City in 1999 and became an active volunteer in the community. Cecile has been a member of the California City Arts Commission since 2003 and was President from 2007 through 2016. She has been painting professionally for the past 15 years with many of her paintings being sold in the community and Southern California. She has always been interested in art, working in stain glass, watercolor and acrylic. She is a self-taught artist.
